Student Absences

Be sure to notify student absences in the front office before 9:30am.  ASD sends email and phone notifications for all unexcused absences.  You are able to report absences on our attendance line through the main number:  907-742-4800 or through ParentConnect. Excused absences include:  student illness, death or serious illness in the immediate family, participating in a school function, attending religious services or extenuation circumstance approved by the principal.  Students on vacation when school is in session can be marked as a "Pre-approved Absence" after notifying both the office and teacher.  Here is a form for this: Pre-Approved Absence Request 

Student Tardies

All students arriving to school at/after 8:05am or 9:05am (Mondays), will need to sign in at the office.  If students don't sign in tardy they will be marked with an unexcused absence.  Please note: tardies are now unexcused, except for medical appointments.  Families will receive email and phone notifications from ASD for all unexcused tardies.
